Om Shanti, Randy.
You were a very thoughtful and kind person. You had a beautiful soul. We will always remember Sutton Place on the upper east side of Manhattan.

James Bavolar
I write with the heaviest of heart that my older brother James “Randy” Bavolar has passed away today on his 69th Birthday, December 19.
Proudly born in Yorkville, Randy attended St Stephen of Hungary Grammar School and St Agnes Boys High School. He lived in NYC on the Upper Westside and with his trusted bicycle navigated the city he so adored. His love for old blues songs was contagious.
Randy was selfless in his deeds and showed true concern for all those he met. As they say in Oz (The Wizard of) he was ‘a horse of a different color’ who never spoke an unkind word to anyone.
As kids he would take me every Saturday to movies on East 86 St holding my hand there and then again back home. He showed me by example how to be a Big Brother, and Scott will be the judge of how well he did. Randy schooled me on the finer points of Rock & Roll, The British Invasion, Hippie Culture, Zap Comics, Mad Magazine and not pissing off the nuns at school.
Randy asked Beatriz Egbelade, the mother of his two sons, Jay Bavolar and Dev Alexander to bring a picture of Hanuman the Hindu God of Wisdom, Strength, Courage, Devotion and Self-Discipline to the hospital. The picture shows Hanuman ripping open his chest to reveal his heart. This picture seemed familiar but never having heard of Hanuman I looked it up. The Hindu legend is that the god Rama after winning a battle blesses all those who aided him with a gift. Rama gave Hanuman his gift, who threw it away. Many of the court officials, perplexed, were angered by this act. Hanuman replied that rather than needing a gift to remember Rama, he would always be in his heart. Some court officials, still upset, asked him for proof, and Hanuman tore open his chest, which had an image of Rama and his companion god Sita on his heart. Now proven as a true devotee, Rama blessed him with immortality, but Hanuman refused this and asked only for a place at Rama's feet to worship him.
Randy will always be in the hearts of his family and friends. Enjoy the pictures I hastily gathered and the song Scott send me. From Randy’s Family, his brothers Keith and Scott, his sons Jason and Alexander, their mother Beatriz Egbelade, his nephews Gary, Joseph and Robert, his niece Claire and his many cousins, Thank You for reading this post. I can anticipate your beautiful thoughts and condolences, please only just post a prayer emoji and then hug a sibling in Randy’s honor. Peace to you all and to my brother's spirit which now rests for all eternity. I love you my brother. ~~Keith Bavolar

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. ~Leo Buscaglia
Rest Well in the Loving Embrace of Our Parents, Love You Randy
