Obituary of Marinel Srbu

Marinel Srbu was born on July 15, 1946 in Seleus, Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia) and passed on March 15, 2023 in Roslyn, New York at St. Francis Hospital, at the age of 76. He was a doting father, a loving husband, a caring father-in-law, a beloved grandfather, and a wonderful friend to all who met him. Marinel loved to play his guitar, which he picked up at the very young age of 14. He also loved to play billiards with his buddies and to go fishing. But most of all, he cherished and loved his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. He left this world suddenly, but his memory will live on forever as he has touched the heart and soul of so many in this world. Marinel is survived by his wife, Nada Srbu; his daughter, Priscilla Srbu; his son-in-law, Richard Tapalaga; and his grandson, Grayson Tapalaga, to whom he devoted his life. He is gone but never forgotten; his kindness, warmth, love for all who met him, and devotion to his family, will live on in our hearts for eternity.
