It is with a heavy heart to announce that my dear mother, Rodica Preda has passed away early in the morning on Weds January 17, 2024. She is survived by her only daughter, Ioana Preda Buburuzan. Born in Bucharest, Romania on Feb 21, 1953 to Ion and Victoria Elena Ana. She was married to Ioan Buburuzan and became a widow early within their marriage. As a single mother with a young child, she fought hard to overcome all obstacles in order to give her daughter a better life. She was the most extraordinary and wonderful mother, she was dearly loved by her daughter, and loved by all who knew her.
Rodica studied the fine arts back in Romania and became a well accomplished painter. She also was talented in many artistic mediums, including knitting & crochet, she made her own jewelry, she loved to cook and was an extraordinary chef, she loved nature and the outdoors, and she adored animals. She also had a love for travel and learning about different cultures. At one point in her early young adulthood, she was a flight attendant for the Romanian airline TAROM for a few years. In addition to being an extraordinary artist, she dedicated many years as a Physical Therapist Assistant because she loved to help others. She loved to help others regain their physical strength and mobility, and also regain their independence in order to live happily in their lives. Her level of optimism, joy and wonder was contagious and she never failed to bring light to the many people who knew her. The loss of her is tremendous and will be felt by all who loved her.
