I'm sorry to miss your farewell and I'll never see you again.
For so many years you were a fixture at Cooper—welcoming all with a big smile, a bright "Good morning *name*, and perhaps "I have a parcel for you".
Even after you were punished for showing support for no tuition, your smile and good wishes never faded as we met you pushing carts around. And when you were fired and reinstated by the new administration, you bore no ill will.
Through this and everything else, you set a huge example for us all to follow - take life in your stride.
How can we all thank you for the goodwill you generated during the dark days of the tuition fight and everything else you gave us through your simple presence and time to chat. Rest in Peace my friend for that you surely deserve and no one can take that away.
